Throwback Thursday Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Comic

How many of you watched or read the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?  When I was younger my father would buy me comics and he would buy himself baseball cards.  I don't have many comics left and I didn't keep them in plastic...I should have.  I loved watching the TMNT cartoons as a kid too.  Who am I kidding...I will still watch them to this very day.  This comic book may be over 20 years old but my son's sheets are new.  I love the fact he has TMNT toys and sheets.

TMNT Sheets

I watched the live action movies in excitement and found them entertaining.  Now with the new movie gossip going through the internet, I find myself cringing.  Can this movie be any good?  I'm sure I will see it just so I can say "it wasn't so bad" or "WTF did they do?"

Putting aside the movies, the comics and cartoons will always remain in my happy memories of childhood.

Quick and Easy Tortilla Ideas

Hubby's Breakfast Taco

Sometimes I don't want bread.  So I was walking around the grocery store thinking "What were my favorite things to make in college?"  Quesadillas!  Because they were cheap and easy to make.  And they were different from having Ramen noodles everyday.  Tortillas are great to have around.  You can make so many easy meals.

Quick & Easy Breakfast Taco

My hubby and I used cheddar cheese, sausage, and eggs.  Butter on the bottom of the pan makes the tortilla nice and crispy.  You can also throw on some hot sauce at the end.

Saving money is always important for us.  Tortillas are inexpensive and versatile.  You can use them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.  Even dessert!

Super Simple Snack

Sugar Galore!

Ingredients:

-Sugar
-Cinnamon
-Tortillas
-butter

Put some butter in your pan, hot but not too hot.  Don't want to burn the butter.
Fry your tortillas one at a time.  Getting both sides light and crispy.  When they are done put some sugar on it.  We used cinnamon in our sugar mixture too.  It gives it that churro flavor.  Then cut up the tortillas into tiny wedges.  Remember to wipe off excess sugar mixture...or don't.  I just have to remind myself less sugar next time.

If this idea is lacking chocolate for you...well why not add some chocolate spread with peanut butter or bananas. Make a dessert quesadilla.

Do you get tired of bread?  What do you use as an alternative?

Infused Spreads Review

*Disclosure-I received complimentary products for the purpose of this review.  All opinions are very much my own. *
Strawberry Lavender Jam

Do you like home made jams and jelly?  I do.  Infused Spreads makes some amazing artisan jelly, jams, and marmalade.  They infuse unique ingredients with fruit and the taste is great.
I really enjoyed the Strawberry Lavender Jam.  I love buying homemade products when possible.  I put this jam on my toast in the morning.  I also tried putting it in the crescent rolls...that was yummy too.

Infused Spreads Jam

The Blueberry Ginger Jam was great.  I put that on my croissant this morning and was very pleased.  I'm usually more of a strawberry girl but the blueberry was pleasant and different.  If you like something with a little heat or kick to it, you should try the Raspberry Jalapeno Jam.  I wish I had some turkey so I could put it on my sandwich all together.
Another fun thing to do is mix the jam with softened butter and then put that in the refrigerator.  I know I have a butter problem but it's so good.

I like that there is only a few ingredients in each jam.  There is no high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors.  The flavors are unique and delicious.

You can like Infused Spreads on Facebook or follow them on Twitter.

Even better...check out their shop and buy something your taste buds will enjoy.
