Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap Review & Giveaway

Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap

*The Dial brand provided me with a sample of Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in exchange for a product review.  However, all the opinions expressed here are my own.*

I remember hearing about Dial bar soap a long time ago.  I'm glad they have this deep cleansing hand soap.

Three Lovely Scents:

-Yellow Raspberry & Black Sugar
-Water Blossoms
-Coconut Lime Verbena

We received the Yellow Raspberry and Black Sugar and the Coconut Lime Verbena.  I love trying new hand soaps and these are great because they smell so pretty.  My favorite is the Yellow Raspberry & Black Sugar.  My husband's favorite is the Coconut Lime Verbena.  We've been using them in the bathroom lately but I think I'm going to move my favorite into the kitchen.  I really like the micro-scrubbers that gently remove the dirt but also make your hands smooth.  The bottle design is nice and doesn't take up a lot of room. With two kiddos running around, there is bound to be a lot of messiness.  I'm glad my son likes the smell of the soap too.  He is really picky about smells.

Why try it?

-Vibrant scents
-Refreshing moisture
-Gentle micro-scrubbers

Have you ever tried Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap?  If not, what scent would you choose?

General Mills Retro Cereal Boxes

Cheerios Delicious Debut 1945

*I received complimentary boxes for inspiration to post.*

General Mills cereal boxes are showing their debut look.  I never knew when each cereal came out.  This was neat and my son was excited about it too.  Cereal is such an easy and quick breakfast or snack.  We like to add strawberries to our bowl of Cheerios.

Honey Nut Cheerios Delicious Debut 1979

My favorite cereal is Honey Nut Cheerios.  I liked them as a kid and still enjoy it.  I can even enjoy them as a night time snack.  My son likes them as a snack for school.  If you have toddlers, then these make great snacks for little fingers to pick up.

Lucky Charms Delicious Debut 1964

So my one pet peeve about Lucky Charms is that the kids just want to eat the marshmallows.  I like those little marshmallows too but let's not waste the rest of the cereal.  Lucky Charms is a fun cereal to make into treat bars.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch 1984

Cinnamon Toast Crunch is so good.  I can seriously just sit there and eat it straight from the box.  I love cinnamon and sugar combined together.

Reese's Puffs New and Debut 1994

My son's favorite would be the Reese's Puffs.  He also mentioned he liked the newer version of the box better.  It is fun to compare the two boxes.  He said the puffs looked to large in the debut version.  I think of this cereal as dessert cereal.

What I like about cereal:

-You can eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack.
-You can take it on the go for an easy snack.
-make them into dessert bars or treats.
-Inexpensive
-send these boxes to a college student, they will be appreciative.

Do you have a favorite cereal?  Out of these five what would your favorite be?

Living without a Microwave Challenge

Kitchen Counter

This weekend I said good bye to my microwave.  It started making crazy sounds so we threw it out.  At first, I was feeling strange without it.  I realized that we use the microwave for a lot of meals.  The microwave is convenient and fast.  Life without it will be healthier.  The challenge for me will be not to go and buy a new one.

Reasons I am happy without the microwave:

-More kitchen counter space.  I love the space I have now.  More room to bake.  Or prepare dinner.

-The blender and mixer have a new home.  These are the two appliances I should be using more often.  I love baking and smoothies will help me push veggies into our diets.

-Food really tastes better when cooked in the oven.  French toast sticks come out nice and crunchy and not super greasy.  Frozen pizzas are better in the oven too.

-I've read articles that microwaves are not good for your health.

What will I miss:

-The quick and easy way out.

So all in all, this will be a good challenge for me.  When grocery shopping, I will feel better with my food choices.  Cooking and baking by scratch is great because you have the power to put only healthy ingredients in your food.

Do you live without a microwave?  How has it changed your daily routine?

Fighting the Winter Blues

Dried Roses

Have you ever had a case of the winter blues?  I'm dealing with it right now.  I think this winter is kicking my butt.  Being a mom of two, there is time to sit around feeling sorry for myself.

What can you do to make things better?

-Stay Positive
-Find a hobby
-bake or cook
-read a good book
-watch a funny movie

These are a few things I've been trying out.  Thankfully, winter is almost over. I am looking forward to beach weather.  Flip flops, tank tops, kids playing in the sand...soon.
